History
Proline Concrete Construction started in the spring of 1995. The owner and president Matt Elzinga started with a few pieces of equipment. He had previously worked for a large concrete contractor on several area projects including the 8 story parking ramp on Michigan Street in Grand Rapids.
The first year the company grew to include 5 employees and had secured a contract with a local builder for approximately 100 homes per year. During the next few years it grew to approximately 25 employees and did increasingly more commercial construction. The company also moved from a home based operation to a new 60 x 40 building.
In 2001 the company outgrew the current location and moved to a newly constructed 10,000 square foot steel building in Dorr, Michigan. The company had grown to approximately 45 employees and was completing projects ranging from $150,000 to $500,000.
In 2003 the owner decided to pursue other career options. He approached a long-time employee and personal friend Brad Iverson regarding the sale of the company. Brad purchased the business in May of 2003. Brad had been with the company since high school. He started as a laborer and worked his way up to project manager in 2001. He attended Ferris State University for construction management.
Proline continues to build the foundations of several prominent local building and averages 6 to 7 million in sales per year. They continue to improve by adding additional equipment and qualified professional employees. The company continues to pride itself on quality work done in a professional manner.
